Tire Size Question

Hey all, gonna get some Nitto Grappler A/Ts, due to the good reviews and even more importantly the price. My question is this: I know the stock tire sixe for me is 265/65/17, but can put 265/70/17s on my 4runner without runing into any rubbing issues? Don't want to get into any mods right now, and I have no lift on the truck, everything stock. Thanks for your answers and opinions. This forum is the BEST!!!!

first off, what year and model is your runner?

i have a 2004 sr5. i just put 265 70 r17 on mine, and they are beautiful. some say there is slight rubbing at full lock when turning. but i have yet to notice it. i dont really think there is, when i turned my wheels to full lock and checked them there wasnt any to my expection. i am guessing it depends on your model n so forth.

theres pics in my thread, the 3rd page.

It should be fine... I have that size (different tire though) and don't get any rubbing anywhere with the stock wheel in the stock location riding on stock suspension. If the shoulder profile of the tire is different enough to cause rubbing, it will be very minor and can be easily fixed by moving the fender liner forward a bit. There are some good write-ups on that if you need it.
