Tire size recommendations

I have a 2011 4Runner LTD and shortly after I bought it I traded a guy my 20” LTD wheels for his 17” SR5 wheels.

I just ordered the ToyTec 2.5” lift/leveling spacer kit which will raise it 2.5” front and 1.5” rear.

I am going to replace the stock tires with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 285/70/17 which will increase the height by 1.1” and the width by .79”.

Will this look good? Will this rub?

Any suggestions?

I installed a cornfed 3/2 lift and put on 285/70/17 brg at k02s and it rubbed but was easily fixed by pushing forward the wheel liner thing. Looks badass. Today at bass pro I saw three people stop and stare. :boink::banana:

Hi Sleeter, thanks for the reply. I'd love to see pics!

I have the OME 3 inch lift on a 2016. I run 285/70R17 and had a little run without flex. I actually cut my mud flaps today but must address the rub on the front end. All in all not bad. I certainly agree, the 285s with a lift look great. I have gotten more compliments on this truck than my sports car.

Got 275/70/17 BFG KO2, I was thinking about 285, but flipped towards 275 since that was only KO2 in stock and had 100$ rebate
