Ok, need some help. Have a 2000 4Runner 4wd. Front tires are canted (?), slightly outward towards the top. Ride/steering is sloppy. What would that be?

alignment, bad inner and/or outer tie rods, bad lower and/or upper ball joints, bad steering rack and/or bushings

A good alignment shop should have told you what wear parts need to be replaced. How are the tires wearing on the front? Any more bald on the inner or outer portion of the tire?

How many miles are on your truck? As mentioned, it seems like there must be wear in some of the suspension components.

Here is my advice; replace ALL of the following:

LBJ's and UBJ's
Inner and outer tie rods
Steering rack bushings
LCA and UCA bushings

Then get it realigned with the following 0 toe, 0 camber, and 3.5 caster. Don't get road crown correction.

If you replace only a few of the above mentioned components, the rest of your new parts will wear MUCH faster. Learn from my mistakes, all at once!
