Titan Rod Vault?

I was just thinking about this... I should be picking up a TE next week and was thinking of what options I had for my rods... I have always folded down seats and stacked gear so that nothing would fall on the rod. Now to try these cases. Question is, are these graphite or bamboo rods you guys are hauling around??

3" Toytec leveling kit. Stock suspension. 17" SCS wheels with 285 terra grapplers.

The rod vault has plastic tube inserts inside the aluminum so you can put any rod in there without the worry of them scratching.

Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering if the individuals on this thread fished bamboo fly rods or if they fished graphite or glass... Just getting to know the crowd.

It has a great look. I love the runners but really can't stand the factory rake or if they have too much of a lift. Your rig sits well.

Over a year later, how is the Rod Vault holding up? I'm considering one as a Father's Day request. Do you leave it up year round or install only for use?
I'll be installing on a Gobi Stealth.

Curious as to this as well. I have one on order. As far as a Father's day gift, expect a long wait to get one.I ordered one November 27th, and am still waiting. I was told it should be in sometime in June or July.

Yikes! So if I order today it should arrive just in time to start swinging flies to Steelhead using a rod that is too long for the vault; lovely!
Oh well, it will definitely get used in the coming years which will make the wait seem insignificant. One thing fly fishing teaches you is patience and to just roll with it.

In all fairness they did contact me about a month and a half ago and said it was going to be delayed (was scheduled for May delivery) because they got some parts in from a supplier that they weren't happy with the quality on. They asked if I wanted to back out of my purchase or they could have one to me in June /July. Like you said, after you have it it will be nice. In life you have to learn to wait, it only took me 7 moths to get my 4runner from when I ordered it, lol.

Sorry just seeing this. I took it off because I can't fit in the garage at work. If that wasn't an issue I'd still be using it for sure.

Now that I have a garage I take mine off in the winter months. I still fish in the winter, but not as frequently, so I take it off and just deal with the rods the few days I do fish.

I love mine and its definitely worth the wait. Only issue, with a lifted 4runner on 305's, I have to climb up on the tire to get it open, and I had to modify my prinsu rear-most cross bar to be able to open the vault. #liftedproblems

I have been eyeballing the 7/8 prinsu since it was released. How did you have to modify the cross bar for the rod vault? I have the rod vault on order and this could help me with my choice of racks, something to look out for. Thanks in advance.

Well the rear cross bar that I was sent by Prinsu, was not the 1" square. Right now I just removed one of the screws and have it angled down so I can flip open the vault. I have an 80/20 1" cross bar arriving tomorrow. These aren't exactly the same as what Prinsu uses, but a lot of the Tacoma guys used these to build out their prinsu racks. Much cheaper and quicker to receive.

I'm hoping with the 1" square cross bar in the back, the vault lid and lock latch will clear.
