12/31/11 - Installation Madness
Follow the lines of COB - 2WD 4Cylinder is now a FI 4Cylinder 4x4.
Nice 4Runner - you're making quick work of the new one.
Yeah there are many build threads that have been very inspirational to me. Plus plans I had left unfinished from my first 4runner. Having a steady paycheck helps fuel my addiction. I still have a WAF (wallet acceptance factor) but it's not the same as when I was in college. Here are a few more goodies.
Some much needed maintenance items from RockAuto.
A new set of Hella Horns that have been sitting around the past month.
And installed all done on NYE right around 8 PM. I love the look. I might recolor the horn cage at some point. I'll leave it like that for now. Makes me want to get an 01-02 grill so they can show up more. The 99 grille covers them up.
I also got a Clifford pager / start alarm back in August after my car was broken into in Chinatown. Thieves saw the suction cups for my radar and reached in to open the door. They passed on my Escort 8500, opened my glove box and took my 9500xi instead and took my gym bag. On rare occasion, I actually had my Macbook pro and point and shoot camera in there. :ybrick: One time I slip by leaving the suction cups on and in broad daylight too. It's all good though I had a back up of my laptop at home on my server so I didn't lose too much. Insurance for everything else that I could remember at least.
However, I didn't think it was worth noting because of a mishap with the remote starter. I remote started it while it was in gear and there was no fail safe. So pretty much my truck started up, crossed the street, and hit a wall. Narrowly missed an LS400. However, crawling at 1-2 mph, they were able to stop. I have since disconnected the clutch bypass switch until I can figure out a better way to utilize the starter. This happened on my second day of having the alarm system. ::face palm::
