To BL or not to BL that is the question

It will help with 33" tires on full compression some (I have some rubbing under full compression and flex with my 33") but other than that, there's no real need for a Body Lift besides creating more clearance for larger tires.

Plus, it just makes your rig look awesome IMO :lookout:

It sounds like he is not going to be doing and real flexing, so I cannot imagine it would benefit him, at all.

You probably won't see a benefit as others have said. It is something to plan for if you're going to be getting sliders or bumpers or already have them. If you already have armor you'll end up with a gap. Some companies option their armor with bodylifts in mind so just plan ahead if you do it so you don't have to go and get new bumper brackets or get the sliders welded higher etc.

Like Blackworks said, it helps with compression. I keep rubbing my 33's when i stuff the fronts so I got a 1/2" kit to throw on soon. Otherwise they're mostly cosmetic modifications.

We take off more body lifts than we put on these day. Suspension technology has come so far, body lifts have lost their effectiveness, In my opinion. I would rather trim my inner fenders than stretch and stress out the components from the body to the frame.

A body lift can be beneficial depending on your wheel/tire combo and suspension setup. Example being is that you can put a good lift on with good flex and travel and want that particular size tire to achieve your look / style, but the wheel rubs only on up travel. A modest BL can be your solution.

If you don't need it, I wouldn't do it.

So for example, I have the toytec ultimate 3" with 285's. Offroad the rear rubs when its stuffed, would I benefit from say a .5" BL?
