TomasAllan's Build Thread

Weird. I would think it was a fuse as well. I havent needed to charge my 6+ yet in the rig and I have usually used the higher voltage 12v plugin one for my phones since I don't like how the usb one sends it into "car mode" and makes me have to use the HU to select playlists. Hopefully someone knows! You could always get a lighter sub plug in the meantime. More convenient than the inverter.

So let me riddle you a better one here......... Its working this morning..... all on its own...... :frusty: :smow:

Wondering if its an overload issue? wondering where it draws power from......(meaning which circuit)

I didn't realize this problem started after your new phone. We should have tried mine on the trip. Try an older iPhone and see what happens.
Here is a start for us to diagnose.

Steven, I did try my 5 on the trip and no cigar.

We'll see what happen.....

Try something else that would be USB powered in the receptacle. If it won't power up go get it fixed at the dealer. I'm sure that would be a warranty thing. There is no way an iPhone should have been enough to blow it. I've had an iPod Shuffle plugged into mine since purchased in January.

Since the USB feeds music from an MP3 player to the Entune system I imagine it also draws its power from that. As another thought you might try playing music from your iPhone to the stereo through the USB instead of Bluetooth and see if that works.

Thanks man, I will try that shortly.

Alright boys and girls......

Procrastinated a bit on posting these but have had a long week already catching up with work and its only Wednesday.... :fear:

Here they are, from our trip to Moab...... with toyo

I am not going to be posting all of them, so if anyone is interested on seeing them all here is the link to the Flickr Album

Incredible pics - looks like a great time. How did that new bumper hold up?

Oh yeah man we had an amazing time out there, both bumpers were phenomenal, I actually did get to visit Chris (Hefty Fab) in Colorado Springs and got a preview of what's coming next.... amazing stuff.

Rear bumper took two big hits dropping off boulders and it took them like a champ... love it.

He's doing some stuff now in Aluminum... Looks rad.

Need advise....

To re-gear or not to re-gear?

Go to 4.56?

Its become heavy.....
Transmission hunts a lot, specially when loaded during long overlanding trips....
Feels a bit under powered.

My problem on the flipside..... I am an 75/85MPH highway guy..... I keep reading that I will loose that top end in which case I am not sure I can deal with that.... would hate a long trip at just 70MPH.... murder!!!

Thoughts/advise?
