Tonka 4Runner

I can't for the life of me figure out why they would keep the IFS.

I do like the rear ladder and bumper protection.

I'm with you on the ladder.

Even then, wouldn't it have been easier than all the crazy trussing to just do a proper SAS? You can still paint the axle bright yellow. Toyota built it's SEMA tacoma with a solid front axle - seems like it'd be hard for them to argue against it.

I think just doing 2wd would have been easiest, since it's just for show.

That thing is aweful. At first I liked the ladder but it is mounted so close to the body you couldn't even get yours toes on the rungs!

If they were to sell this as a 1/10th or 1/16th scale at toys r us,I know for sure most of us 5th gen guys would go out and get it. Even if it is yellow an fugly to some. People would end up doing mods to this just to make it look like their 1/1 truck. I know I would get one or two for sure.

I'd even convert it to RC!

Actually I would just take the body off and slap it on an SC10, assuming they were close to the same scale...

There is a 1st and a 3rd gen 1/10 scale truck body you can get but no 5th.

The 4Runner RC bodies are a rare find. If or when I do find them, they're very $pricey$.
