Top radiator hose replacement dumb question

Need to replace this hose and was curious how much radiator fluid I’m going to lose. Also, once replaced, anything special I need to do to ensure there is no air in the system etc etc?

Might lose a very small amount.
No need to worry about air in system.

Do it when it's cold!

Just get some distilled water and refill the small amount that comes out. Rinse the engine and you should be good to go.

Though, if it has been more than 3 years since your last coolant replacement, it might be a good time to do it all.

If you drain the radiator before, then you might not lose much of anything. If you plan on just yanking the hose off and letting it drip to the ground, I'd guess a quart (highly advise against that). Always have extra coolant on hand regardless.
