Touring replacement tire thoughts?

I have a 2006 T4R 2WD SR5 V6 with about 66k on it. I have the original Michelin 17" option tires. I don't go off road, and want a quiet, comfortable touring tire. The Michelins are great, but expensive.
Many of my friends claim the Michelins deliver 1-2 mpg over other brands. Considering Coopper, Bridgestone and Generals.
Anyone want to weigh in on this? Any good, or bad experiences to share with various brands?

Those new Cooper HTS or the General Grabber HTS would be great choices. They are certified "low rolling resistance" tires and will keep your MPGs up as high as possible and will handle wet roads well.
