Tow 3300lb car on dolly- yay or nay?

Anyone towed a small car on a dolly?

I'm interested in a car that's 400kms away from my house. Flat ground. Stock 5sp 4X4. Good or bad idea to attempt this?

Take your time - don't push it on any uphill stretch.....

yea if there isn't many hills and your going slow it can but done. if you have many hills it won't be fun. Ive towed my 2500lb trailer a few times. the load felt really heavy and seemed like the engine was always working hard. I have larger tires so that didn't help though.

It's pretty flat aside from the climb up into the shield to get to my place. I'm not generally in a rush but more concerned about poor braking or the back end getting pulled around. I could do the whole drive in 3rd for all I care.

Take it easy, use ECT, and turn OD off.

I did pretty much the same thing going from central Texas, to Phoenix, then up to Denver.

No ECT or overdrive- it's a manual!

Either way, moot point as it appears that I missed the deal
