Can be done, just distribute your cargo weight evenly on the trailer. Have the weight on the trailer not the hitch is what I'm saying.

You should be okay. I towed my buddies truck that broke down onto a solid metal flatbed that is usually used for carrying a UFC octagon ring. Let's just say it was over 5000 lbs., and I could definitely feel that I was towing a massive load. I just kept it slow and steady and she did just fine. This was only an hour drive though, just make sure to take it nice and easy.

I forgot one thing, having that much weight towing, hope the trailer has brakes, weather elec. or hydralic.

Your vehicle brakes alone WILL NOT BE ENOUGH TO STOP THAT WEIGHT BY ITSELF. You won't like the surge of that weight pushing you down the road and nothing you can do to stop it.

Depending on your speed, it may be ok. The huge load and trailer I towed did not have brakes and I was just fine. Not very good for the wear on your brakes, but mine did just fine. Highway speeds or anything that high I would definitely NOT recommend doing without trailer brakes.
