HD Dash Cam with GPS and night vision. JAEWONCNC IROAD IONE-3800FU I got off of eBay for a little over $200 for the 32GB. I have tried others and I have never been more happy with a dash cam. Read below Pics for an instal note regarding dash mounted electronics.

if you need to install electronics on you dash take note of this hole. there is a plug in it, but it just pops out with ease and allows you to run wires behind the dash into the power port in the glove box. I have both of my devices run to a splitter that plugs in to my 12v outlet in the glove box. i took the time to notch the knockout plug in the compartment and run the wiring through the hold, so inside my glove box it is hardly noticeable.

Here are a few as she sits pics. I still have to build a hi-lift mount on the rear tire carrier, and ad a few things to the inside, but this is how she will look for now. I cannot say i am done, i still have exhaust, CB, snorkel (dreams), and a few other mods left in the works....She has come pretty far since I got her a few months ago and I think i am ready for FJ Summit.

I am not running a front sway bar, that said, the flex is not great but its okay for an overland vehicle. I have a 1986 for the more rugged trails, I have no intent of driving a 40k 2013 T4R that I bought for my wife up the waterfall in Clayton. We built this to take to events and showcase some of the products we sell on our site.

Okay, I decided to do one today. Mod #17
Hi-Lift mount on tire carrier. To be honest, I cannot figure out why ShrockWorks would not offer this as an option or even standard on a $2400 bumper.
I welded two studs that lined up with existing holes in the SW carrier. I then reverse welded on two lock nuts on the jack side of the angel. Everything fits perfect and the jack sits about 3" from the tailgate.

The washer bottle on these is left alone. it goes right behind the pass side down tube. its very hard to see and is 99% protected by the bumper.

Very cool T4R!!
Myself and Member GD2013 spent yesterday putting his 4Runner together for the Summit.
We did Rocktek Front Bumper, Shrockworks rear bumper, PRG Winch, PSC Steerign Cooler, Rocktek suspension armor.
We have left to do tonight...PRG Winch Line, PRG LED lights, Factor 55 thimble, adn turn signals.
here are a few couple pics we snapped at dinner. Basically the same build as mine (the reason I tacked it onto my thread).
he did his bumpers in Toyota Silver Met. It's growing on me, at first I was thinking black is the way to go, but silver looks pretty sharp on this truck and it matches his wheels.
that reminds me, he need a 5th wheel to match if anyone is selling one.

I like the fact that your front bumper doesn't have the headlight protection.. .Looks less "bug eye" that way.. good job!

Back to work. Mod #18
All-Pro upper control arms with recessed ball joint.
So after 10 days of wheeling in CO I noticed some seepage from my upper ball joints. Nothing major, but since I have owned so many of these, I know that at some point the ball joints will fail in several ways....this truck only has 12k on it and is only 6months old, so I knew it would get worse.
I ran into John at Summit and talked to him about options for my 4th gen lower arms, and in the end I ended up buying these for my 5th gen.
I installed the AP arms, one of the easiest mods you will ever do BTW. I have the old ICONS in my other 4th gen so it was nothing new to me. Arms went on easy enough, after wrestling with the washers a while...NoTE. Be sure to tighten the arms with the weight on the suspension.
The joint bolts where tough to turn, mostly because of the style of lock nut they use (tapered). If you look close in this pic you can see a couple threads that are pinched together. I would have preferred a nylalock nut on this install. I hope this hardware is up to par. Guess time will tell.
