Any comments/experiences with the ST MAXX vs STT (I think that's what's in your sig pic)? Have you tried them out in the winter time? on road? off road? road noise hum?

The STT is an amazing Mud tire, I ran them on my 83 and on my Black 4th gen, the road noise was VERY low for a Mud tire, in fact, the quietest i had ever run, including the super soft Hankook. They we Okay in the rain because of the ciping in the main lugs. I never really drove it on much snow or ice due to living in TX. this picture here is with roughly 20k on them and about 90% tread
I have been running the Copper Disco AT for the last couple vehicles and I have ZORO complaints about them I have noticed they are not as firm in the rain as i had suspected.. not bad, but i can make them slip and slide.
with the ST MAXX i went narrower so i will have more PSI on the ground, should make wet driving even better. I have not gotten a chance to run them yet so i have no feedback as far as road noise and wet traction. but they will be on soon and then driven the 1400 miles to Summit and back with plenty of wheeling in between.
I can tell you this.... In my life I make a habit of finding something that i feel is the "best" for whatever reason and I commit to it. its the reason i have owned more than 3 dozen Toyotas and the reason I have bought coopers for my last 4 (now 5) vehicles. Are there better tires out there? I have had enough vehicles and tires to last a lifetime and I can say after trying nearly ever brand out there, I have come to rest with Cooper.

Going to run a set if 255/80R17 Cooper ST MAXX.
I also plan on putting a set on my TE when it makes it here, I glad there is finally a 255 other than the KTM2 out there and it's a quality American name brand.

For the record, we have ran cooper on our last 4 builds..... Really a remarkable tire
Looking forward to your take on those. I love the Cooper ATP's I have on mine now, but have slowly started to look for the 285 replacements and so far Cooper has done me right. I like the slightly more aggressive look of the ST Maxxx, although the ATP has done me very well here in Indiana rain, snow and out west trails.

I have two sets, now. One for each 5th gen.
Cooper tire was kind enough to sponsor Pathfinder Outdoors for 2014. As part of my sponsorship they sent me a set for my TE build. So I will be providing a fair amount of feedback and video on the tires.

Still waiting on the Rocktek Front bumper and ShrockWorks rear to be finished.
So far I fit in My house garage (both fort worth and Columbus) i fit in the airport, I fit in the hospital parking garage, and i fit in the drive-throughs.
i just fit in my garage, about an inch to spare, and I always feel like I am moments from disaster when in the airport parking garage, even after clearing the little hanging bar.
They are so new, they do not show up many places yet. In Oklahoma you can order them from either Kaffamn tire or Discount tire. you have to go in a store, they do not show up on their site, but can be viewed in store.

Back Up Camera..... THIS MOD IS A PITB
this is to go with my new in dash NAV. still waiting for a plug for the head-unit to test it out, but the hard part is done, and in-case you did not know, the SR5 doe have a small open spot to mount the camera with ease. the hard part is fishing the wires from the center of the hatch, up the side of the window, through the flexible water proof connector into the headliner.
