Toyota 4Runner 3rd-Gen Paint & Chassis Codes + Brochures



Here is the chart of color for the US-Spec 4Runner from 1996-2002. If you see an error please post it here and I will correct the page and graphic ASAP. You can upload a photo of your car by clicking on the graphic, then clicking on the appropriate camera icon next to your color.

If you need me to update the chart please post your model year (or production date), color code and a description or photo of your car. For now this is for US-Spec cars only, I will add other countries in the future.

I guess Canada calls some colors different ? I went to the Toy dealer looking for a touch up pen for 1A5 and said Desert Dune and he no , its called " Warm Grey Metallic " . They were out anyways . Then I went to Paintscratch.com and they too call 1A5 Warm Grey Metallic .
No Desert Dune to be seen

Cool, I was curious the exact name of my '01 SR5. I have a friend who works for Toyota who was able to print me out a Vehicle Inquiry Report. Says here the exterior color is "0K73 SILVR".

Is this the same as Millennium Silver Metallic? If so, what's with the 0K73 code? It doesn't match the code on the chart.

If you go to paintscratch.com the K73 stands for Two Tone Color Combination . Right below that listing is Silver Metallic Clearcoat.

Sorry, for some reason I didn't get the topic notification. Here's what you should do: look in the driver's door jamb for the production label. There will be a line called C/TR or Color/Trim. The first three characters on this line is your color code. Let us know what it says.

If it is indeed a two-tone color combo then I'd love to see a photo of your truck so I can get the combo up on the chart.

Also guys, I have decided to start adding brochures to the page. I have 2000-2002 already, but I need anyone with a 1996, 1997, 1998 or 1999 brochure around to give me a yell. I'd like to find a way to either have it scanned and emailed to me, or to have it shipped to me so I can scan it and send it back. Thanks!
