toyota bashing

Have you any of you guys gotten crap about driving a toyota ever since toyota entered nascar? I know nascar has nothing really to to do with us but i was just curious. Ever since toyota entered nascar, all i hear is toyota bashing from nascar fans. Are ther any nascar fans here ? and if so, whats your opinion?

I don't hear Toyota doing anything in there even though I dont follow that anymore. Are they even still in Nascar ?? Are they doing anything ?

My friends know better than to make fun of me when it comes to nascar. I own 2 Toyotas and a Honda motorcycle and my favorite driver is Dale Jr. Yes I did not studder lol. I like a driver for HOW he drives, not WHAT he drives.

I'm sure the south is where people have a more of an opinion of Toyota in NASCAR but I bet most people don't really care. It's more among other race team's fans and hardcore old school fans. I bet most younger fans just son't care,it's all the same cars.

Yeah I don't think any of the cars have an advantage anymore, it is just the driver. The cars are more restricted now.

Nobody made a big deal when Toyota took over the truck series rigth from the start and still dominate now and the last two races the Toyota trucks have taken 1st thru 4th but then again the truck series has too much of a small following to make a noise about it.

Being in the south I hear alot from the country bumpkins about Toyota shouldn't be in Nascar, blah blah blah. Honestly I don't even like Nascar. If I wanna watch toilet bowl racing I will throw some Hot Wheels cars in my toilet and flush. It's the same thing. But at least now with Toyota being in it I actually have something to root for when I do have to watch it besides the crashes LOL :biggrin2:

Yeah, I watch nascar now and then ever since i heard toyota was participating in it. Im not really a big fan but who knows, maybe it will grow on me once i see toyota dominate the races

There was a big deal about it (well, really a small deal) when FARTS (fans against racing toyotas) was started in MI by a dude who worked at a Ford plant and then lost his job. He was bitter about losing market share to the superior vehicle and decided Toyota didn't have a place in an "American" sport. The website was a joke, and it didn't last more than a few months. Mostly closed minded idiots (both north and south US) saying stupid stuff. Some of them couldn't spell their name right.
Toyota will do better, because they have deep pockets and the big three are struggling to make small losses, let alone a profit right now.

The big three need to make better quality cars period if they want to turn things around;Toyota didn't take over #1 by accident.
