Toyota being cheap again for 2020?

I was expecting the 4wd knob plastic (illuminates when turned on look a like) to glow green when 4hi selected but it does not. All 5th gens like this?

Toyota counting pennies. Could have made all lighting LED, but chose not to.

Maybe the 7th gen has all LED Lighting off assembly line.


Still love my 4 runner. Engine is peppy.

There are a few areas where I wish Toyota included illumination.

Mirror switch
Moon roof button
 
4runner is one and only meaning toyota dont care. To qout Russel purcell, "Most of the manufacturers have decided to focus their design and engineering dollars towards making their utility vehicles more civilized, with the goal being to maximize comfort, road handling and convenience. In short, most of the 4Runner’s former rivals have been neutered to the point that they perform more like station wagons and minivans than adventure vehicles".

Something is wrong with your selector knob. Take it back to Toyota immediately.

Peppy? Eh isnt it abit earlier to get totally blind drunk wasted? Peppy sure..rolling down the hill with 5000lbs of cement in the rear cargo area..that may help the pep...maybe

I cant find the knob... and the shiter that's there isn't lit up... in the name of humanity WTF is going on?
