Toyota Fluids vs. Aftermarket Brand Fluids

The wifes new ride is an '11 T4R. New to us but dealer serviced with the previous owner. So on the rest of our fleet I run Rotella T6, it's generally available for less than $25/ gallon. Though it's considered a "diesel" oil, will it be a problem running it in the Toyota?

Toyota calls for 0W-20 (or 5W-20) on the V6, why would you run 5W-40? I'm sure you'll be fine, but MPG could take a hit (heavier oil when at operating temp).

It was actually for convenience come service time. I don't like to stock a different product set for each vehicle, Thanks for the reply.

Ive been instructed by my toyota dealer that the Amsoil 75 90 severe gear is fine in the transfer case. Ive always used it in my FJ and will continue to use it in the 4Runner.
