Toyota needs a customer facing tracking system

I ordered my car a few weeks ago and the dealership told me the ship should land on the 9th then it will take 1-6 days to process it and actually be delivered to the dealership for my eventual pick up.

I know that a tracking system will not actually speed anything up. Much like when something is ship via FedEx it's nice to be able to type in a tracking number and see the progress. I'd like and update when the ship actually hits the port and possibly see a queue of how many cars until the inspector clears yours to the dealer.

Really I'm just antsy to join in some of this fun.

I have a SR5P in metallic grey coming to me. I'm still debating if it was the right choice over the TEP with KDSS. either way I made my choice and it will be an awesome truck.

Ha, I was just looking to see if there was some method to track incoming vehicles myself today. My dealer traded for an incoming 4Runner that should be here in Ohio in April, and I'd sure like to follow its progress. All I know is that it is somewhere on the Pacific now.

Ours are probably parked close to one another

Of course I do I said that in the original post. When your anxiously awaiting for something it can soothe the soul a little bit to see a small blip advance across the screen

I feel your pain. I ordered a BRZ in April of 2012 and didn't have eyes on it until Sept 2012. I got fairly regular updates from the salesman but just surfed the forums looking at what I wanted to do with it when it did arrive.

At least the wait was rewarded with a low mileage vehicle.

I put the order in 3 weeks ago and got lucky that one was just built and only had to wait for it to swim across the pacific. It just happens recently that I got really impatient.

3 weeks is a short wait in comparison to some!
You should be smiling. :D
