Toytec superflex installed and now problems

Soo I finally had the chance to get my rear coils installed "toytec superflex" which replaced my old saggy OME891, I got me the s/s extended rear brake line and also a panhard drop bracket which I still didn't have the time to finish, anyways as I was on my way home I had to drive over a few speed bumps, while I drove over, I noticed a weird clunk coming from the rear and had a sound almost like when you engage 4wd?????? As I reached home I inspected under ther rear and noticed my rear sway bar was hitting the shield on the rear factory e-locker. I then disconnted both end links and did another test drive and still the same sound????? I was wondering since I haven't installed my panhard drop bracket you do you fellas think the rear axle shifted to the passenger side and would cause a binding? Did this problem ever happened to any of you guys out there? PLEASE need some input MAHALO!!!! Btw here is a small clip of the sound

Most likely it isn't. The distance between the frame and axle got longer, but the panhard bar didn't, so the axle is forced to shift off center.
 
Check the basics. Make sure everything is tight and that you did not forget to snug any bolts. Have someone watch the rear as you hit a bump to see if anything is happening. I had a lound bang over hard bumps and turns out my bump stopsa had fallen apart along with old shocks my axle was hitting the frame.
 
Idk I'm super clueless I double checked all nuts and bolts and they seem to be tight ????? Just had my gf drive over a few speed bumps a hand full of times and still can't figure it out. My guess tho has to do with the passenger side spring. When I tap on it seems like there is play as in the it's not seated correctly, but upon visual inspection it look fine to me??? Idk sometime after I'm finished with work I guess im gunna take it out and take a look at what's wrong..........
 
That's odd. I have the superflex with the stock panhard. No drop bracket. I haven't had any issues with that setup. I've never heard any noises coming from the suspension. Just tools bouncing around in my box in the cargo area. Not sure what the issue could be. Do you have an aftermarket gas tank skid?

Yeah im a bit mind boggled..and no everything is stock, idk I'm starting to think all kinds of s**t, I was even thinking my elocker has something to do with the sound , but idk I haven't trying engaging it and drive over a bump?? Hopefully I can get this resolved quick :(
 
yeah you need to extend the sway links or use the ones from the front, this is a known issue, the fact that you still heard when you disconected both is probably because the bar was free to hit stuff, try taking it off all the way. also check your rear control arm bushings.
 
I had a clunk shortly after installing my 891s and looked under to find this. IMG_1574 (600x800).jpg But, Yeah it's probable your sway bar. Other then the noise how do like the superflex coils ? I been planing on doing the same thing after my 891 wear out.

damn haha, my rear trailing arm bushing went out and was making that noise, so i used some self sealing silicons to make a bushing, works great.
 
Hawn, u or any of your friends get 1 GOPRO? I used mines fo c wea da noises wuz coming from. Just a thought. Gude luck. Aloha
 
My bet is the sway bar or drive shaft hitting the tanks skid. Pulls the sway bar completely and inspect the tank skid for signs of contact.
 
I can add a common reference to the pool of guesses.

When I had a metal clank coming from my rear it was because the bushing that holds the sway bar to the axle came off.
I realized from extended 5125s I was flexing it enough to move the bushings around and sooner or later it would fall out. I have since replaced with new bushings and tightened it down and haven't had them pop out ever sense. I guess the stock bushings were just tired out and then the addition of a lift had them easily fall off

To make this clear I am talking about the two half circle bushings you can see attaching your sway bar to the rear axle of the truck.
You have to lay down underneath to see them.
Follow your sway bar down and you'll see what I am talking about.

To make it relatable. It would clank just as your mentioned when going over speed bumps and pot holes. Never anytime else. I guess only when the axle had enough abrupt movement to move the sway bar at a different rate than the axle itself.

Yeah I know exactly what you talking about I actually replaced all sway bar bushings but I took off the whole bar completly and still hear the clank sound........I also replaced both my rear LCA and I know for sure it's not that. I didn't replace the the uppers and i did find that it is coming from the rear drivers side, it might be the rear UCA I haven't REALLY inspected it, just tried moving with my hands to see if there was any play, did seem tight tho.....hopefully I can get my gopro mounted and see from there
