TPMS question

I bought an 04 Sr5 a week ago. At the time, I swapped on the rims from my Tacoma with the sensors. I didn't reprogram anything.

The light hasn't come on as I expected, I've been driving for a week. Maybe 100 miles.

Thoughts?

So if I am reading your post right. The wheel/tires you swapped on already had Toyota TMPS sensors already installed in them, right?

samething here, sold the old 17's, put in limited 18's with sensors and no lights for 3 months. Then I decided to add air to one of the tires and sure enough the light decided to come on. Maybe the sensors need to detect change in psi before sending a signal to the computer.

OP here - yes, I the ones I swapped over already had Toyota TPMS sensors from my 2006 Tacoma. No, the ones which came off the 4runner are long gone on the Tacoma.

I was thinking as soon as it lost signal or detected pressure change from the ones programmed to the T4, it would throw a light.

Come to think of it, my uncle tossed some GMC rims with no TPMS onto his 05 Taco and only gets an occasional light. Weird. Sister always has alight on her Rav4 (I assumed atleast one sensor has a bad battery)
