XREAS - easily beaten with aftermarket suspension.
Center diff lock - you have the exact same thing when you shift into 4WD
4WD on dry pavement - what for?

Center diff lock is different than engaging part time 4WD... totally different
4WD on dry pavement isn't really the issue... just back to it being easier for my wife to not have to worry about when it should/shouldn't be engaged.

I plan to get a TE eventually so I'm fine with part time 4WD and modifying things. My wife... not so much.

With it unlocked it's like a highlander from what I understand, 3 open differentials.

The way it controls wheel spin when turning or going around curves is different, which is why people reference binding and strongly discourage driving part time 4WD on dry pavement.

The center diff isn't critical, but it would be if a person is not accustomed to know when to use (and when not to) part time 4WD.

I think it will come down to trade value in a few months. If it's close to even I'll get a full quote from my buddy and make the call.
