If I ever trade in my 4Runner down the road, or sell it, I will definitely look at a Forester. I have owned 2 Subaru's and I had zero problems out of them, not even a minor problem. That's the only automobile brand I can say that about. I bought both of them new.
The Forester and Outback have a lot of cargo space inside as well. Our 4Runner's have about 90 cubic ft. of space, the Forester has somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 cubic ft. of space. The Outback has 73 cubic ft.
They are not pushover's when it comes to cargo capacity.

My Trail is 2 months old, the womans Outback is 1 month old. We typically fight about which vehicle we will take on road trips. :biggrin1:

:hand: Small but necessary correction here. Subaru doesn't utilize any other engine configuration than the boxer, or horizontally opposed, configuration. Whether it be 4 or 6 cylinders it's still a boxer. The day you find a V6 in a Subaru is the day it's no longer a Subaru.

Thank you for the correction..., complete oversight in writing that post. My family has had Subaru's in it since the 1970's. I was brought home from the hospital in a Subaru as were both of my children (yes we could be one of their commercials).

Owned a subaru once. Never again. Biggest POS and pathetic warranty coverage from Subaru. They will fight you on everything.
No vehicle is perfect, certainly not the 4Runner. So far the Edge is great and with a tune i'm in the mid 13's in the quarter mile. Fun as hell to drive unlike the 4Runner on the street. So far I have not missed anything about the 4Runner.
Regarding MFT, mine now has Sync 3 which blows away Entune. Entune sucked and was horrible to use, slow, and randomly restarted.
Toyota may have decent reliability, but their vehicles look like gobots and are gutless wonders. no personality. The 4Runner is their most unique vehicle until the new Supra comes out (if it ever does).

It's not even in the same category as a 4Runner so it's kinda dumb to compare them.

Did you really just compare quarter miles times of that to a 4Runner???
Have fun with your quarter miles times when your stuck on the side of the road in that Ford of yours when my girly 4Runner with 200k+ miles passes you with a smile
At least Ford got one thing right with their cars. They circled to problem on the logos front and rear.

That's OK man, don't let them get to you lol. The reason why so many vehicles are offered is there are so many different ideas of what is best for the individual. Also, don't worry... these guys will still pull you out when you get stuck!
