I agree...when you need a bed its hard to put things in the back of a 4runner or always have a trailer.

My choice was little opposite...I needed more space for a family of 5...so I got the 4runner...sold my LMM duramax and got an older truck...95 Cummins.... That way I can have an 8 foot bed when needed and yet have this awesome 4runner!

That's how it's been in every generation Tacoma. Also why I keep going back to Tacomas.

That's not true. I have a 1998 Tacoma that has a much different seating position.

I'd be lying if I said the new Tacoma wasn't tempting me. I'll be ready to shake up the fleet by the time the new 4Runner is hitting the showroom, so I'll have to see what is available then.

Huh. Interesting. My 99, 05, 08, and 15 have all be quite shallow. Unlike any other truck I've been in.
