Are side mirrors interchangeable between Tacoma and 4Runner?

Has anyone ever swapped Tacoma and 4Runner mirrors and know if they are a direct fit or require any modification?

They look so similar to me, I was surprised to find out they are different mirrors.

I used to have Oracle mirror ditch lights on my Rubicon I traded when I upgraded to my 4Runner, and for some reason they only sell the integrated mirror ditch lights for the Tacoma mirror shell and not the 4Runner?

I wrote to them, and they said they are different mirrors and that they would share the request for a 4runner variant to be considered for future products (If they haven't made one for 5th gen by now, they never will...)

So, that leads to my question, if I could potentially pickup used Tacoma mirrors and swap them to be able to install the Oracle ditch lights?

The Tacoma and 4Runner mirrors are different so I doubt it would be a direct bolt on.

They are not the same, however many of us have swapped in Rav4 mirror lenses that are a closer match

Thanks, I presumed it to be the case by the lack of hits when searching on this, but wanted to confirm.
