Trading Tacoma for 4Runner, need your help

I am thinking about trading in my 07 Indigo Ink Tacoma Access cab Sport 4x4 for a 10 TE. My tacoma is a 6sp in very good condition with leather heated seats, 53k miles, and with all of the options. I am looking at the following TE:

If you could let me know your opinion on what I should pay for the 4Runner. I believe I can get 17k trade in on my Tacoma. Also, any other input would be appreciated! :hatsoff:

Try the on-line resources to see what the T4R and Taco are worth. Also check Carfax or something similar to see the vehicles history is. I didn't buy my new T4R from Boulder Toyota because they wouldn't deal on price so if you think they are asking too much, they probably are. In the end, you know what you are willing to pay and can afford. Stick to your guns or you'll be questioning your decision as long as you have the truck

You should be able to get more out of your tacoma than that. I just sold my 2006 Taco with 93k miles and 6spd for $18250 and it took me just under a week to sell it.

That 4runner seems expensive.

Obviously you will negotiate that Trail price but you better get it down several grand at least. I paid only a few thousand more for my Trail brand new and it has KDSS and Nav.

When I traded in my GMC Sierra I went to Carmax to get a rough market value price, it's free to have it appraised. Then when it came to my deal at the dealership I asked for $1000 more for my trade and they honored it.
That TE seems a little pricey to me,

I ended up getting 26,xxx for my 09 taco 6spd dbl cab ( lots of mods ) and picked up a 2011 TE 4runners. The the taco was a beauty truck but I got sick of driving the 6spd in the city on the other had I did prefer the 6spd on the hwy over the auto in the 4runner. I could out it in 6th and go where the 4runner is a gear hunting re****.

My brand new 2012 TE w/ KDSS and Entune was $38,200

That's listed as 34,400 w/ 45k on a 2yr old vehicle.

Thanks for everyone's input so far. I am thinking about starting off at 28k for the 4Runner since it has been on their lot for more than 2 months. Then asking 20k for my Tacoma to start. Is there anything I should be looking for when going over the 4Runner? Thanks again for any input.:thumb3:

Yeah, that is waaaaay overpriced. I paid just under 33k with 23k on the odo on a used Trail loaded with KDSS & NAV

That's WAY over priced.

Just curious, why do you want to replace your Tacoma with a 4Runner? Your Tacoma is just barely broken in with ~50k miles.
