Trail Blazing on 12-11-11 any takers?

Im from Colorado Springs and looking to take a few trails with some CO runners.

I dont know many trails past the springs so im open to suggestions.

I might be down for that but i cant really commit due to the nightmare of this homebuying process i'm in the middle of. Ive already run bull park, mount baldy, rampart range, shubarth trail, mt herman rd, dakan rd, hidden valley rd. Since im running stock michelins right now snowfall would definitely be a factor in whether or not i can go.

Ok FYI Im working to get a sitter. So far I'm still good to go. But I don't have trail ideas/plans

I think that location might depend on whether or not we get snow accumulation along the front range. Rainbow Falls is a pretty decent area with a lot of things to play on, but always I'm open to try something different as long as it doesn't get too hard core!

I'm interested depending on the trail(s) and my schedule.

I hate Rainbow Falls, it's full go ATVs, even had one crash into me a few winters ago.

Keep in mind that if youre looking up trails ion traildamage you have to double the difficulty if there is snow.

Pick 4 trails you would like and post them. Average would be the primary. Weather permitting (I secretly want super deep snow to play in so I can use the winch)

Let's start with an area.......woodland park area trails sound good?(to easy,to hard,let me know.) I'm willing to drive 2 hours max from the springs to get to a trail. That opens it to a lot more trails in Colorado

Most along Rampart Range Rd. are very doable. I do know of alot of semi-marked trails along Gold Camp Rd. that are good for exploring.

You folks might want to keep up on the runs we do, pretty active wheelers and no shortage of people in the Springs.

I'm not going to lie. After reading that I was excited to play yet disappointed at the same time. I'm happy to know there is fun and challenging trails out there. Sad to know I run a high risk of breaking something on my DD. It's sounds like the ideas are flying and everyone is contributing. As we eliminate some trails as we get closer to ones that are suited for a stocker (which is equal to a semi modded jeep) because we know they are very capable.


Im still good for next sunday. Saturday im getting my PIAA's wired up. FYI. This trail run is open to any truck and person it should last from 9 to 4 max im still open to input/ideas

I've been checking on some areas for Sunday, but don't know a lot of areas so I'm just trying to read up. www.Traildamage.com has a lot of info and I've been checking out trip reports on www.frontrange4x4.com. There are some areas out near the Hayman fire area and I'm trying to get some info about the Tarryall Reservoir area... might be cool just to go explore an area like that.

Check out China Wall by Tarryall, Front Range 4x4 has their annual anniversary run there every year because it has some fun obstacles but can also be run by stockers. Seacrh for "anniversary" to find them. If you just want pics check out my pics here.
