Looks like 3 7/8 rooftop to rail top.

This sounds more accurate. My 2016 trail rails are a tad under 3". To say the 2012 trail rails are 2.7" higher means that rack has an overall height of nearly 6 inches. That just didn't sound right. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think it's that tall.

The 2010 brochure lists the Trail height as 1" over that of the SR5/LE, so the extra 7/8 is probably correct.

So I asked this a while back but the thread was long since dead. Now that it seems to be live again, I'll ask again. Maybe somebody knows.

Are there any actual functional differences between the black 10-13 TE roof rails and the silver 14+ roof rails? Is it just the overall height of the rail channels or is there actually a capacity difference? If it is just the height, does this actually provide any advantages?

And its the SAME.DAMN.THING. I saw a TRD Pro and I'm so busy at work I couldn't buy it. Thank you Toyota for saving me money.

Ugh. I would LIKE to say I would be up for a roof rack swap so I could put bigger tires on my vehicle, but I have so many other things going on that I wouldn't want to promise anything.

I don't want to take it off because resale, and where do you store it. A swap could be explained, dealer or buyer probably wouldn't even catch it.

Plan so far is just BFG K02 265R17 this fall after I take the kiddo to school, from Tire Rack, keep rims so I don't have to monkey around with crap and TPS, installed at a local shop I trust. Found out they work with Tire Rack.

Once I get my Rhino Rack cross bars I will want to get rid of my cross bars on mine. They are black. If anybody is still interested, let me know. Hoping to do a local sale but I can see about shipping if needed.

Yep & it actually slims as it goes twds the tailgate ,which is a hassle if putting on a rack !

I had mine powder coated, came out super nice. Have you thought about maybe doing that?
