The passenger side of my Trail Edition is about about 1 inch lower than the driver's side. According to another thread, the lean is usually on the opposite side. Dealer said it was within spec. Anyone having the same issue? Any ideas on what to check? Could it be a problem with the KDSS? Thanks!

Nope, fuel tank is on the drivers side. Most 4Runners lean to the drivers side.
Stock suspension? Maybe the rear springs are on the wrong side, they are different spring rates IIRC.

There should be paint lines on them that are different colors. Someone else with a stock trail should be able to give the colors on their and know, however, that is only as good as the color they were using that day. May or may not be the same, although I would expect it to be the same.
Not normal or within spec IMO, 1" is a huge lean. My 1/4" drives me crazy, 1" is almost like having a flat tire.

We just had a similar thread a little while back and factory specs are .787" difference side to side max per the Toyota factory repair manual. You need to swap the springs side to side or have the dealer do it and it will probably help it . Takes about 30 minutes top.If that doesn't fix it then they need to replace the rear springs as they are not that expensive.

For what it's worth, I'm finding out more and more that KDSS is not trail-worthy. It's more roadworthy. I brought my '17 offroad out on a moderate trail and lost over an inch on the passenger side. KDSS was bled out and recal'd, still not fixed. The lift isn't that old and nothings damaged.
Toyota wouldn't touch it after the lift. The shop I brought it to said to throw a .5-.75 inch spacer on the front passenger side and that would level it out.

That sounds like way more difference than I've read about for the "kdss lean". With the limited details you gave it sounds like the shop that installed the lift messed up somewhere.
As an owner of a 16 trail with kdss I can assure you that it is VERY trail worthy.

i particularly like the fact his shop told him to drop a 3/4" spacer in there to fix the problem.
kdss lean is fixed with a 10mm spacer.
and kdss kicks ass all around imo
