Trailer hitch hammock.

Does anyone have experience with a trailer hitch mounted hammock system? Seems like a good idea for some applications.

Answered my own question by reading the article posted. Yes it can.

I've got one of these setups, but I got the older version that only supports the chairs. This newer version is adaptable, so you can have it to hang two chairs, or one hammock.
The chairs are really comfy, and such a great way to watch just about anything that you'd want to watch from a 'tailgate' perspective.

Answered my own question by reading the article posted. Yes it can.

I was surprised how much room there was to open the door and get stuff from inside. It came with an anti-wobble piece for the hitch (not sure if this is an add on now) that makes it very stable.

It's unfortunate that the ones I have seen are based around shorter hammocks. I sleep way better in my 11' hammock than I did in the sub 10' ones like an eno.

If you don't want to or can't occupy the hitch, you can simply attach a carabiner to a sturdy D ring installed to your roof rack then attach the other end to a nearby tree as usual.

I do this more often than not especially when I can't find two trees close enough together or if I'm trying to find the perfect spot.

Check out their website. I'm pretty sure they're coming out with an XL model for the 11' hammocks, if it's not already.

Good to know. Was debating whether the extension was necessary. I think it might be an add on now as well.
