Search transmission cooler on here. Most people go with B&M. I just ordered a 70264 for mine.

70272....is that the best one ? But requires a lot of work ? Or tranny cooler it's self is plenty ?

I use the B&M 70268 and have had fantastic results. My temps stay where they are expected too and it is super easy to mount.

What's the difference between70255, 70268, 70264? Also the coolers that cool power steering and ect, is that necessery ?

I've used Hayden (from O'Reilly's) on 3 of my 4Runners with no problems. About $50.

the 70255 is too small and wont work for a trans cooler on our rigs. the 70268 is marginal imo and will work if you are stock and never go off roading or towing ect. the 70264 is the best imo cause its the largest of the three and will have the best ability to cool the fluid most efficiently.

power steering coolers are not needed unless you plan on doing a lot of wheeling and have bigger tires and a lot of extra weight like armor bumpers winch roof rack loaded ect. basically if you dont do a lot of wheeling in the rocks or deep mud or deep snow, you dont need a PS cooler -the 70255 would be good for a PS cooler if one was needed.

I went with this Tru-Cool 4590. I bypassed the radiator and temps stay about 60 degrees above ambient outside temp. I've seen 180 once and that was going up some steep grades in Rocky Mountain National.

FTR, I fabbed up a new hood latch bracket.

The cooler is designed to connect to your radiator, which then runs to the tranny. By bypassing it, it then no longer has to go through the radiator or the engine, and is solely dedicated to the transmission. Correct me if i'm wrong guys.
