Transfer Box in Neutral Question - SR5 4WD

On the 2013 4wd SR5 with the Twist Knob Shifter: Where do you put the Knob when you want the transfer box in neutral?

There is a position between 2HI and 4HI that is probably neutral but it doesn't really have a detente to hold it there.

The position between 4HI and 4LO seems to have a detente but is that a good spot to leave it if I were to tow the 4Runner with another vehicle? - engine off and towed on all four wheels.

I may never need to do this but it would be good to know; say for towing behind a motor home - -

I found the answer on page 313 of the Owners Manual:

This vehicle was not designed to be towed "dingy style" with all four wheels on the ground. This will damage the vehicle.............

The point of the post is to show that the Knob shift has no neutral point and the lever type does. And he is right Toyota says not to flat tow the 4runner anyway.
