Transfer Case Actuator Motor FAIL...

My '99 Ltd suffered a big setback.

The good news? I now know why it wouldn't release from 4WD.
The bad news? A new one plus labor = almost $2000.

Any advice would help!

make sure it's not these two switches first. I was told the same thing ($2000 motor). 100 bucks later, my 4wd worked perfectly.

Thanks pbcolt...I really appreciate it. Wish I had the knowledge to get in there and troubleshoot it, but that's also why I'm on here & trying to learn more.

Yeah, search here a bit to help you troubleshoot it first. Think of it this way, if you screw it up, what's the worst you will have to do, replace it?
