hey guys i noticed this weird leak on my transfer case and after some research it appears to be a output shaft but it can also possibly be the actuator. what do you guys think?

You may have to start with some cleaning to determine the area of the leak. Unless its clearly coming from somewhere, it may be hard to tell with that amount of fluid on the outside. Start by cleaning it off with some brake cleaner, dish soap, and a small brush to agitate the surface. If it does end up being the output seal, and there's a pretty good timmy the toolman video on replacing the seal on a 3rd gen. Mine has a really slow leak from there, so I'll be working on that eventually/

yeah I cleaned up the area last night while greasing the driveshaft I hope its just the output shaft and not anything crazy expensive.
Could possibly be a bad seal from the t-case actuator. Mine is doing that and it is a known issue and end up leaking because of a poorly design o-ring seal.
Hopefully it isn't that. It isn't the end of the world if it's a slow leak. I just check my tcase fluid levels often. I did find that I only have to fill not even a quart every few months. From my initial research it is an expensive fix from the dealer or a cheap one if you DIY.
IIRC, dealer will charge upwards of 2K because they want to replace the whole actuator + labor.
DIY is $8 for an oring plus the time and effort to drop the tranny and tcase. You can't get the actuator off without splitting the tcase.

yeah that's what I heard as well, I hope its not that but I plan on replacing the front/rear diff and transfer case fluids soon.
