Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal

I noticed last weekend gear oil leaking from my T/C front output shaft. I'm sure it's the output shaft seal, I know it's not the dreaded actuator seal, I replaced that before. Anyway, when searching for the OEM seal there are 2 different seals listed for my model (2004 V8 Limited). Even when I try to search by my vin# it still gives me 2 different seals.

Does anyone know how to figure out which one is the right seal for model? Got pics of the 2 seals online and they are very different looking.

Looks like it has some date codes with those part numbers - to me anyway.

First looks like 200609 (09 of 2006) to 200807 (07 of 2008), then the other is 200807 on.

Maybe there's another drawing for the earlier 2004 that you have.

Or perhaps I'm reading that totally wrong, and there's an inner and outer seal. The OE part numbers are only 1 digit off from each other.

I think the 200609 - 200807 could also be a VIN range. however my vin has 20x630 so maybe not... Im m in a gx470 so maybe thats why theres an x...


or its simply a typo in the parts dept...

either way I want to be sure i Have the right seal before I start taking things apart.....

Based off your pics and from doing some research, I would say you need part # 9031141012.

Edit - Actually, I take that back.

Part # 9031141012 would be for what I view as the front output shaft seal, for the front driveshaft. Your pic is of the rear output shaft, for the rear driveshaft, with the actuator motor next to it. For that side, you need 90311-41007, which Toyota says in no longer available but I do see them on Amazon and other places.
