Transmission cooler install question.

I just installed a B&M Cooler in a 1998 4runner, about to install a 2nd cooler on my 01 limited 4runner, any issue just using two of these to connect to factory hoses.

It's not a big deal to replace factory lines, but I didn't like the amount of force I had to use on the rigid transmission lines that the new hose attaches to, I was waiting for them to bend or give when I was pushing those new lines on during last install.

I put a little PB Blaster on them to help lube them up, and they slid right on.

I used transmission fluid in the same way, I would be afraid the PB Blaster would degrade the rubber lines, it may be safe to use though.

I replaced the lines. Used a little trans fluid on the metal lines coming off the trans and the new lines slid right on no problem.

you're right, I think that may be what I did actually. now that I think of it.

Did you use the hoses that came with the cooler? If so, you should have gone to the parts store and bought about 5' of 3/8" ID cooler line hose. These slip over the hard lines easier.
