Just as the title reads...I pulled a P2716 code for the pressure valve D solenoid. I'm dreading dropping the pan and replacing solenoid. Really the part that worries me is the fluid replacement.
Background on my truck, I live in the northeast so my trans cooler lines rotted to crap and just before winter last year I ended up replacing them. I actually used some advice from another thread and fabricated new ones with brake line tubing, saved a bunch of money. Anyway, I followed the procedure refilling the transmission but it never seemed right after that, almost too hard to shift and before it warmed up. Maybe that was in my head too it was still pretty smooth driving.
I had no way of knowing how much of the original fluid I lost because like I said the lines rotted out and however much fluid had poured out up until I got home and realized what had happened. During replacement I put in as much as I could while going through the gears until it dripped out the fill hole. Everything seemed fine up until a short drive the other night. I put it in reverse and seemed to jerk, then while driving about a mile or so I just had periodic jerking while downshifting or accelerating. Finally my CEL and VSC lights all came on. I am 1000% certain its not a matter of lubing the driveshaft either, I do that at every oil change.
Really bummed out because I love the truck and really haven't had too many issues with it. Just not sure if I'm throwing money at a lost cause here.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Should I replace solenoids? Also, how do I know which ones to get?
