My 2007 4Runner has been sitting a lot this year due to the motor getting hydro locked this past year! After I do a hard stop and try to go again it seems like the breaks are holding the Vehicle back. If I just release the brakes the 4Runner won’t inch forward, I apply the gas and it gets up to 1800-1900 rpm and then it surges forward, I’m assuming that’s the factory stall on the torque converter! I replaced the front calipers with centrics from a 5th gen but the issue still persist! So before I replace the rear calipers is their anything that could be wrong with the torque converter or transmission?
I have towed a Tahoe on a duel axle trailer for 300 miles I was more then likely right at or exceeding the 7000lbs tow rating, it never acted up but I was gentle with takeoffs and braking!
