Transmission Question - 2002 4WD

Hi everyone. I have been told by a reputable transmission repair shop that my torque converter has gone bad. They quoted me $2000-$2600 for the repair without really taking a look other than driving it around a little. I was hoping to get some advice on whether this is a fair price or not and also if there's anyone in the Atlanta area who can do the work for me! Thank you for your help.

Get 2nd opinion if you're not sure. If bad go find good used and swap, or find a rebuilt shop exchange with good warranty 2 yr/24k. Labor $300-$500

2000-2600 for a converter? That's insane. I'd find another shop or look for a good used one.
