I wanted to find out if any 4th generation owners, with the 5-speed(v8) has has one of those machine transmission flush treatments. Did you notice any differnece in performace, smoother shifting or any other observations? How much did it run and where did you have it done?

I live in central jersey and went to Crystal and Toyota of Morristown (where I bought the truck in 4/11) because I had a lugging or drone noise when I was in D. Does not happen in 4 th gear but I don't know for sure if it is the same as the "rumble strip" issue that somehave described as more severe/violent. I have 40 k miles on my 08. Both dealership said they could do it but did not recommend it nor did they they think it would eliminate the drone in any way. They did not feel anything was wrong after I took them for test drives and drove another 08 they had on the lot which did the same thing. They felt it was normal. I'm comfortable now that I had them both clearly document everything and their recommendation just in case something is wrong down the road I am protected.

I didn't try Autoland.

Why do you want it exchanged? Are u having a problem?

It's not normal. You should change it every 75k regardless of driving style IMO. Perhaps the V6s need it sooner because they lack the cooler.
