Trash bag/container?

Trasharoo doesn't get torn up when it's hanging off your spare tire. I put a garbage bag inside it though so I'm not constantly having to clean it out. No name garbage bags that you tie in a knot to close and don't have fancy drawstrings

LOL sure, mine lasted about 2 months on my tire before it was completely shredded. Don't waste your money. Bit more expensive but I've had one of these on my truck for the past 60k miles and other than a broken buckle (which was replaced under warranty), it still looks brand new:

I do. I have and run the Blue Ridge Overland one. It's pretty great. No complaints.

The Radius one caught my eye though, looks well thought out, although maybe bigger than I usually would need need...

Those both look awesome. Thanks for posting. I may be picking one of those up soon. Curious but do you have to move it if someone is sitting in the rear seat?

I've been using one of those cheap accordion style storage totes you see on Amazon, and it works for the most part thrown on the floor in front of the rear passenger seat, but sucks having to move it any time someone needs to ride in the back.

I actually use it a good bit though, mainly just for recyclables and paper trash, and both of those bags look pretty heavy duty. Plus it would be so much simpler just hanging there or at worse clipping on the back of a different seat real quick if I had to.

Thanks! I ordered the Blue Ridge because the Radius bag seems to big for the seat but may be good for the hatch area. If I feel I want larger I'll get it and put the BR in my GTO.

Recycled grocery bag hanging off the shifter, over to the passenger side footwell. Free and the trash and bag can all go when you stop.

It hasn't come in yet but I'm getting the Kelty TrashPak: similar idea to trasharoo but you don't need a spare tire off the back. None of my vehicles have a spare tire on the back including, of course, my TDI so this'll work.

Plus with all my dogs there is some trash I just don't particularly care to have inside the car.

And before anyone says it: I pick up my dogs poo when we are at trailheads or if the dog decides they want to poop in the middle of the trail. So no, we don't leave it.

No, the Blue Ridge actually stays pretty out of the way, however if it was packed super full it might be an issue but there are two quick release buckles to easily remove it (for dumping into the trash at stops).

Where can I buy such a trash bag container? It is a very good idea to store the garbage in the car. In Los Angeles, garbage is a very big problem. People throw out the garbage directly from their cars without thinking about the ecology or even about the aspect of the city. Luckily, many people in Los Angeles are bothered about the ecology, so they usually use the services of dumpster rental in Lafayette, LA, and start cleaning out garbage from different regions in the city. Whenever I have free time, I help them with this.

I got a collapsible one i have mounted to the back of the passenger seat. Its great since it will just crush closed if i flip the seats and its easy to remove.

I never pile up my garbage too much. Even when I am overlanding I never keep more than a small plastic bag of garbage.
