How I got the 4Runner:

back in 06, my aunt and uncle needed a new family vehicle for their 2nd kid and since my aunt wouldn't let my uncle get a pickup truck, they got the 4runner.
Apparently houston was lacking 4wd models so they drove to San Antonio to pick up a 4WD, thank god.

god bless 4 wheel drive. :usa2:
My uncle loved the thing yet keeped it stock, seeing as he was a game warden he already had a pretty neat chevy 2500 that did well offroad.

Fast forward to 2009 and my uncle joined the Chambers County Sheriff's Department.
3 months after that he was killed in the line of duty.
Devestated our family, but C.O.P.S & the 100 club did an awesome job supporting my aunt and her 3 kids.
College tuitions are all paid for and paid off her mortgage, as well as any other bills.
They flew us out to DC for his name to get etched in the police officer's memorial and the candlelight vigil following that.

Anyway, didnt wanna make anybody all sad about that, so back to the 4runner.
It served as my grandma's grocery getter until about 2011 when I turned 16.
My aunt thought that my uncle would want me to have it, seeing as I was the one who was always bugging him about putting mods on it and stuff.

Got it February of 2011, bone stock.

Added some mods to it after about of year of having it.
Daystar kit, roof rack, and bumper.

Then later installed the new suspension. Bilstein 5100s up front with OME 885 coils and light racing UCAs. Bilstein 5160s in the rear with toytec superflex coils.
Also was running 255/75/17 BFG KM1s for the rubber.

Then finally thought it was time to get some more meat with 285/75/16 Duratracs and bronze Level 8 Mk6s.

Then wheeled it a bit. broke some tie rods and CVs, took the doors off, and added some other little things.

You're doing great so far! Keep it up!

I'm personally not a big fan of the Trail Damage mod... I did that to an '88 4Runner I had a while back... same thing, but modified the right rear tail light and not the left. And yours actually looks like a (bad) Altezza mod whereas mine just looked like I made my back-up lights bigger.

thanks! and I agree I am not a fan of the mod either

Awesome looking T4R! Any plans for rear bumper with swing out to get that tire off the roof?

thank you! I would love a swing-out bumper but it'll have to wait until after tires and a suspension lift.
Most likely i'm gonna go with the CBI because it looks great

Yea CBI will for sure be the way I go on my rear bumper. I just looks to good and awesome reviews to do anything else. When money will permit I will be getting one.

Looks terrible. I wanna vomit every time I see it. So I'll do you a favor and take that ugly bumper off your hands!

:flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff:

We better go wheeling whenever i drive over to Louisiana in a couple weeks

If I were you I'd consider removing that metal flashing and pick up 2 more Rigids and mount them in there and put a mesh covering over it, Like a Satoshi with a light bar behind it, only on your bumper instead. Just my 2 cents on what might look friggin sweet

yeah thats what I'm gonna do, already took the flashing off.
Rigids will be further down the line but I'm gonna get the mesh and do the bumper and the grill.
