Travis' 06 SR5 4WD build thread!

Organized a little kit for my cargo area. This way I'll be able to keep a decent amount of gear without having a lot of clutter.

Thanks! And yeah man I figured i'd have seen you around before. We should meet up and go wheeling or something. I'll be at coffee and cars saturday morning at vintage park and theres a little truck meet friday night at 6 pm at the gander mountain on 1960/290

I work Saturdays, so cars and coffee is out. I used to go to those truck meets a long time ago. They used to be at the Conns. I might head out there this weekend if I've got time.
 
So i was driving home tonight and noticed something really weird with my brakes. I have to really put some foot into them for them to actually brake. If i tap or gently push them I get nothing. I checked my brake fluid and everything seemed normal. Possible overextended a brake line offroad maybe? I checked and even though everything looked normal thats the only thing that could of affected the brakes.

Oh and i tore a CV boot today as well. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

if i may suggest, park it on a flat clean spot and pump up the breaks repetitively to check for leaks. I would be willing to bet that there are no leaks. From my experience, weird things with the brakes on a 4th gen are usually seized calipers.

for the CV pick up one with a warranty from the local parts store and rebuild the torn one for a trail spare.

can you hear the electric hydroboost motor running? like on startup and when you press the pedal?

Thanks! I'll try to give it a shot today and i'll check for seized calipers. And I'll pick up new CVs as well.
 
Runner is coming along good! Iv seen it on instagram. Someone is getting popular. :photo:

thanks man! its been a heck of a lot of work.

And i know whatcha mean, I put off making a build thread for a long time. Better start now before theres even more mods.
 
So I installed some rock lights today. Just in time for Texas Offroad Ranch this weekend with the Tacoma World guys.
