TRD Cold Air Intake not available for 2020+?

You have to take into consideration that Toyota is also looking at longevity and ease of maintenance. Highly restrictive/filtering elements generally translate into longer lasting engines.

I think the primary inlet restriction is valve and timing, and throttle... more cold air is generally not a reliability impact by itself and you wouldn’t intentionally select a more restrictive air intake due to reliability unless it’s to keep FOD/water etc out.

Why replace your stock CAI panel filter with another, virtually identical panel filter intake? Just saying you might want to explore other options.

Because without resonators, I have more room for plumbing valves on my passenger mounted air compressor... duh!

Seriously though, I was going to put my stock airbox and resonators back in when I did my snorkel and my plumbing didn't play nice with the resonator. Ended up keeping then trd box an just siliconed the drain hole and bolts

I agree though, the panel filter was a big turn off for me. I love my huge cone filter in my AFE Momentum GT

There's a dyno of someone's vehicle that pointed out a slight increase in HP. But the biggest draw is that the same person picked up a few MPG's. +2.4 MPG is considerable for me being that I'm at 13 MPG. Even +1.3 MPG is a 10% increase in efficiency so from that standpoint, it makes sense.

BIG OL NASTY CONE filter. :nod:

Naaaah. Those clowns have no idea what they are doing. Besides, the Oil Companies probably own the patents, just like They do for the 200-mpg carburetor, which they squashed 70 tears ago.

We are waaay ahead of Toyota.
