Toyota rarely changes anything...
Pretty much anything that fits a 5th gen fits 2010-?
In fact 2003 4runner to present share many things mechanical. 15+ years of the same basic truck.

Not likely. To show any real gain you would also need to open up the exhaust, and even then most of the gain is in the upper rpm bands. Counterproductive to mpg gain. I'm not saying it's impossible, just doubtful compared to what you spent to get there. And I have a CAI AND Magnaflow exhaust, and drive like an old man.
Average mpg on mine is 19. But depends how you drive.

Thanks for the update on fitting a 17. Didn't think Toyota would be moving a air pump on a 5 Gen that's been on the market for a while now. Should have the TRD intake coming in about a week. I'll report back on how It works out. Still trying to decide to do the install myself or have dealer do it. Any comments on from those that did it yourself would be appreciated.

Search through this thread for the parts, but it's actually cheaper to buy the pieces separately than to buy the complete kit.
I bought mine, without the filter, for 225 shipped. And then like $6 in loom harness and vacuum line over at local auto part store. Use your stock filter until it's time to replace, and either go with the TRD one, or an AFE wet or dry filter when necessary.. (so like $300 after all said and done).
Plenty have members have done it the piece-milled way, and well, it's ridiculously silly how it's priced as a kit. And super easy to install, if you're so inclined and able.

This is awesome, I just posted about this right before I saw your post. Definitely agree 100% It's a lot cheaper buying it by parts vs the set.
I have around 15k miles on mine. Same mileage. Goes down a bit just because I like to hear that noise every once and a while.:lmao:

I put one in my 2016. I'm averaging about 18.5-19.5, but I've also got a bunch of stuff on the roof.

I'm an advocate for buying the parts separate as well. I paid around $250 shipped from Camelback Toyota. Lots of threads on here with the parts numbers. I only needed to purchase a short piece of vacuum hose ($.99) and some black wire loom (a few bucks) if you don't already have it. I already had electrical tape and zip ties. The installation instructions are floating around the board too in PDF.
