TRD Exhaust

I called TRD today and they told me that their exhaust should fit on an 05 V8 with no spare tire problems... they said the only way it wouldnt fit was if you had air suspension. This puzzles me bc Ive heard of ppl having trouble installing this exhaust on their 05 V8's... anyone know what the deal is?

I am also interested in this topic... anyone installed the TRD exhaust on an 05 V8 Sport WITHOUT the spare tire issue?

The TRD exhaust wil fit on an 05 V8 Sport Edition, however you will have to remove the spare tire for good. It has nothing to do with the air suspension. It wont fit with a spare tire on because of the XREAS suspension.

install? you have got to be kidding me right? a set of sockets is all you need to do the install on an exhaust for a 4runner..maybe some wrenches too

Spare tire and TRD Exhaust

Maybe Staffy Bull or someone else with TRD exhaust installed on a Sport Edition can comment... with the spare tire off to make room for the exhaust pipes, where is the driver's side tailpipe run? I'm curious if it would be possible to mount a smaller wheel and tire for the spare to give the pipe enough clearance. That way, we could at least have something to roll off the freeway with...
