TRD filter vs K&N filter

I've seen several threads where people absolutely hate the K&N filters...saying they let too many particles into the engine

What is the opinion on the TRD air filter compared to the K&N??? Are they similar performance-wise??? Also, wouldn't the TRD air filter be safer "warranty-wise" than the K&N if something were to go wrong?

I have a K&N on my 96 4Runner and my 94 Supra Turbo and have never had any problems out of them.

My opinion.. I'd rather get TRD stuff for my t4r rather then put stuff from k&n in. Although they might be similar... and i'm sure you won't notice any difference between the two.. its a personal preference.
