TRD Intake for 2009 4runner?

You can find a TRD intake on ebay that will fit your vehicle I think. Intakes for the 03-09 v6 4runners will all be the same, and maybe even for the v8s. The TRD intake is made BY aFe... so if you really like that intake, just go for the aFe one... its cheaper, and its the exact same design. The only difference between the two, is that the metal plate that comes on the top on the intake box says TRD in red on the TRD, and the aFe says afe (redundant I know).
I did look at AFE intake and it says its not California legal. So that is out of the question. I guess the only choice would be TRD Intake and I found new style intake which has slide in filter instead of actual cone filter. Kind of disappointed :/ I hate these stupid California pricks who decide if its street legal or not. GRR

There isn't any CARB legal CAI for the V8's. The TRD CAI is only for the V6, and it won't fit on the V8. If the CAI is 03-08, it *should* fit the 09. Nothing was changed in that department for the final year. Like, my Borla system says v6, v8 03-08, and I asked them about the 2009, and they confirmed it will fit the 2009 as well. Some products out there will fit both v6's and v8's but not all products are manufactured to do so. It sucks for me I have to get my vehicle smog'd for base stickers frequently so I'm constantly changing out my Volant CAI for the stock airbox.
Oh and last but not least you can still get a TRD exhaust system but they stopped making the CAI. You'll have to buy one used or hopefully overstocked.
