Hi guys,
I may have a similar story to some on this forum, and am a newbie at best but i recently fell into the TRD pro suspension kit for a very good price and am going to be putting it on my 2015 SR5 Premium. I have been considering a suspension upgrade for awhile, but i think the TRD Pro set up gives me enough off road and on road performance balance for what i will be doing with my truck. In all of the research i have done, the ToyTec front coil and top plate spacers seem to be the perfect fit for me.
My question, and after reading all of this thread it seems to be no, but are there any true long term affects on the life of the shocks with this system? I have read in this thread that there seem to be no performance issues when riding on trails, but anything worth noting as a risk with these?
Also, i am considering the Radflo 2.0 rear springs for the rear lift. For some reason i am concerned about the fit with the front. Does anyone know of anyone running the radflo rear springs? they are 20% stiffer then stock. i tow a boat long distances occasionally so a little stiffer ride would be nice, but can anyone shed some light on how stiff the ToyTec rear springs are at 10%? or is anyone running a spring (or the radflo spring) that is rated 20% stiffer than stock on the TRD Pro?
I am also considering the Icon Uniball billet control arms for this set up.

Welcome to T4R! I've been running this Toytec lift for a year and the springs for the rear and here is my 2 cents. The rear springs are stiffer than stock, by 15-20%. I tow a boat as well and it does improve that experience as well. I will tell you that a 5 1/2 drop on your hitch runs a lot better than 8 for the boat but I also have a utility trailer which the 8 inch drop hitch works better for. The deeper drop for the utility trailer puts a better angle onthe whole trailer but with the boat on the 8 inch it felt as if the boat was pushing the truck down the road and will give you a good white knuckle drive until you change it out. Ive had the TRD Pro Toytec lift on my rig for a few months now and i have to say im pretty pleased with it so far. Im currently running the 1.25" Spidertraxx spacers and this lift got rid of the slight rubbing i had as a result of the spacers.
One question, i plan to swap out the TRDP rims with some 17x8.5" -10 offest rims. Im pretty sure i wont have any issues if i keep the stock Nittos till they are done, but I plan to put on some 285 70/17s after. Does any one know if this toytec lift will be enought to keep the rubbing issue at bay if i keep the spacers on? Im pretty sure ill have to take out the mud flaps.
