Trd pro lift question

I ordered this and will be delivered tomorrow. Gonna be installed within the next week. I'll post pics.

That's a nice system, but since I would never need a stage 5, it would be a double waste.

Waste #1 - buying a kit beyond the spectrum of what I ever intend to do with my rig.

Waste #2 - removing the TRD suspension that I originally paid for.

all those are very good points. The TRD suspension is sweet. MY case.

regret #1 not having a 4wd rig. had a 2011 tacoma pre runner. the first time i took it to the beach, i got stuck. jeep had to pull me out (you can see the embarrassment in that) that's when i traded for a 2015 TE

regret #2 having a subpar lift on the tacoma also had issues with ride quality , noise and handling. but off course i don't have the nice trd suspension like yours so for me upgrading is not so bad. most importantly i want to fit bigger tires in there.

I told myself if i was going to do it again, i'm going to save my coins and do it right.

Not till the end. Go past the "M" until you get to the shooting area which will be on your left. You can't miss it. There's always people out there shooting. I would say its 10 miles past the resort.

It's called Sloan. I always go up there to go shooting. I took my truck up there stock when I first purchased it and it made it just fine.

People always go straight to a lift to run larger tires and it is not really required. You need the tires to clear at full compression (which really won't change with a lift). It comes down to alignment and a little plastic trimming.

The lift usually makes sense though, because the additional approach and departure clearance is a huge bonus offroad.

It should be pretty easy to clear 33s on a TRD pro with no additional lift. Might require aftermarket UCAs though (which you will want for more lift anyway).

I may do the UCAs later in any upgrades. The toytec kit is already on its way and I should be able to have it installed by the end of the week. Larger tires will be next, but I think I'll wait until the current rubber is exhausted.

Just to update everyone. Received and installed the toytec kit today. Fits like a glove, rides great, and now I'm sitting 2 inches higher. For those that have the trdpro and want the lift without the sacrifice....this is the way to go. The front spacers are not like the others out there. It's divided into 2 (top and bottom) and reduces the compression you'd get from a traditional spacer. It's exactly what I wanted, and now 285s won't be a problem.

OK, I need some help with deciding what to do. I have the TRDPRO and am very happy with pretty much everything about it....but, I want to be able to fit 33's.

So here's my question:

Do I leave it alone and don't mess with it?
Do I simply add a kit like the daystar DYT-KT09134BK-3 or the REVTEK REV-432X-3?
Or do I completely remove the TRD suspension and replace it with an icon, king, or fox setup.

Really would like to have 33's on it, but at the same time didn't want to remove the TRD from the Pro.

Curious as to what you do, 16 TRD Pro here in Vegas as well. Let me know if you want to run some dusty trails.
